The Hockey competition... written by Scarlett.

On the 12th of June 2017 the six of us went to Dixie Grammar School to participate in a hockey tournament.  Throughout the morning we played 7 matches against: Richmond, Stafford Leys (played twice), Dixie, Townlands and Mercenfeld (played twice).

We enjoyed playing at Dixie and we worked brilliantly as a team only losing one game.  Overall we came joint third (which was amazing)!

The team was made up of Mr Tratt (coach), Mrs Wells (assistant coach), Holly (captain), Tom, Oscar, Danyaal, Olivia and Scarlett.

Coaches Thoughts...

This tournament rounded off a fantastic year of hockey for St Marys and proved how hard work can bring rewards. Qualifying from the preliminary tournament was fantastic, but to finish 3rd out of all of Hinckley and Bosworth is amazing. As their coach I am so proud of all of the team and the effort they have put into hockey this year. I hope that they all continue playing whether that is at St Marys or at their new school.
