Foundation
Welcome to Foundation. Your child will be in Kahlo Class. Below you will find lots of information to support your child's learning journey this year and lots of photographs of learning in action.
Kahlo class making new friends and exploring their new environment.

Kahlo Class loved making bread and learning about harvest. We used our senses to explore the bread and enjoyed tasting it with raspberry jam!

As well as beginning our phonics learning we have also been focusing on mark making, pre-writing patterns and lots of fine motor practice. This is preparing the children for the year ahead!

We had a great time at the MacMillan coffee morning, it was lovely to have so many parents and family members join us.

Chalk and water painted snowflakes.

We learnt about the importance and meaning of Remembrance. It was great to be able to go to the Mead as part of the Remembrance service. We decorated iced poppy biscuits in class.

As part of our Festivals and Celebrations topic we learnt about Diwali. We made rangoli patterns and salt dough diva lamps. Mrs Rajpara came to talk to us to share how she celebrates Diwali with her family.
A huge thank you to all our parents and carers for joining us for Kahlo class's nativity. It was a joy to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas together. Every child shone brightly and we are so proud of them all. Thank you for your continued support.
