Welcome to Foundation. Your child will be in Kahlo Class. Below you will find lots of information to support your child's learning journey this year and lots of photographs of learning in action.
Our topic this term has been Adventures Near and Far. The children have produced some lovely writing linked to the stories We're Going on a Bear Hunt and The Snail and the Whale. We have explored our local area and we have compared this to other continents around the world.

After our fantastic writing linked to 'The Snail and the Whale', we used iPads to create snail pictures. We used our fingers carefully to make spirals.
Celebrating the Lunar New Year
The children in Kahlo Class have had a lovely start to their learning journey at St Mary's. They have been busy exploring all the lovely areas of their new school.
The children have been learning about Frida Kahlo who was a Mexican painter. They have made some fabulous collages of her.
The children have enjoyed developing their fine motor skills both inside and outside through a wide range of creative opportunities.
Reading is one of our favourite activities!
We have made lots of new friendships whilst exploring our amazing environment.
